To be “involved in the community,” it doesn’t mean you go to work, your walking through the Subway, if excuse the eastern term, I lived here 30 years and Calgary 2 and still say Subway. Walking through the Subway station like a scene from Metropolis or New Donk City of Mario’s Odyssey. It doesn’t mean your a Movie Theatre with the Kids, at the beach. A Public House or Show Lounge for a Drink.
It means your an insider or know an insider and they know the insider as a loyalist. I hear about these things; from consultation meetings, debates to even local street events late, some times on twitter or facebook, and sometimes by walking by it to my surprise.
No public mailing to your home, no facebook event. Nothing.
Even an Election is a big secret to some people in their daily grind and choice fun and entertainment.
It’s no wonder, mixed with the usual political choices on the ballot, due to insane ballot access rules in the Election Bylaw of 2008, that you may have just hear about, there is a low Election turnout.
