Elections Canada:
“Hi Gölök,
Our team was forwarded your questions on the updated candidate nomination process. Please see the answers provided below.
Distributing the form
The new “Section F – Single Elector Consenting to Candidacy” form can be distributed to electors either online or physically by dropping it off in electors’ mailboxes. If you would prefer to distribute the form online, you can do so by sharing a link to the form by email or posting it on your website or social media page. This will enable you to avoid physical contact and will not require 100+ forms to be printed.
Signing and printing
The form does require ‘wet ink’ signatures from both the elector consenting to candidacy and the witness – electronic signatures are not permitted. For the purpose of these signatures, the form will need to be printed. The form can be printed by the elector, and therefore it is not necessary that you (the prospective candidate) be the one to print the forms.
Once the printed form has been signed by the elector and witness, it can be returned to you either online or physically. For example, the elector can create an electronic copy (by scanning or taking a photograph of the form) and return the form to you by email (or by whichever online medium you prefer).”
