If someone didn’t own where I lived, would I live here? No. I have seen my landlord get screwed by paperwork “proving it wasn’t empty” and taxed and so on. A perfectly decent human being. Not making the rental easy. A BiPOC if that is also important to you.
Granted some groups and foreign owners also rent out, foreign owners don’t often care, but even that is due to expense. The City “Land Use And Management” Bylaws basically make it cheaper to collapse into condemnation than to renovate.
They also let people get away with taxes if they let ferns live there and not people (Sihotas). All this is more about Government failing people.
When you rent you are temporary an owner of where you live until the deal is off. Right to privacy and personal security (like a dog or gun), right to live your life so long as you don’t harm anyone’s financial or bodily condition through force, fraud, and coercion.
When authoritarian socialists come for your owner’s property, remember they think by patronizing it makes you the owner’s enabler. Property owner adjacent, guilt by association.

Someone has to be blamed for crashing a car. Someone has to be at fault, someone should be accountable. Personal responsibility for causing bodily harm, harm to property and financial well being.
More insidious is this Wrongful Death situation, basically if someone hits me, I am considered worthless because I am single. Like with the evils forced marriage, known as “common law,” it’s punishing people for choosing to be single. Among other things, like being punished for having no dependents, like somehow no one will suffer your loss or injury with you.
We need a Wrongful Death Accountability Act we need justice for all, not just some.

Does an MLA need to make more than 20-30 Grand a year? I say no, I would be happy to vote in favor if 20, but not tolerate anything over 30, linked to inflation and deflation as the only arbiter of adjustment.
Including all side deals like meal allowances and nonsense like that, I’d like to see pensions stopped and a tax applied to pensions already given to pay for the debt past politicians left us with.

All this debate around Transitioning children, is a sick distortion of natural growth. The whole notion of puberty blockers deny a human’s right to naturally grow and maturing. Don’t care too much what happens in post puberty. That’s an adult’s call over their own body. The same also goes with psychiatric drugs being used on kids, kids who do not have fully formed brains and chemicals within.
Let kids be kids. Let them grow up without being a test subject of big pharma.

Disability would be best served as a Health Ministry program and not something that goes through the Welfare System, the way it exists now it is used as a required stepping stone to disability, when it could be a direct from Doctor thing. You can hold the PWD hostage at the attempt to remove the system made for those “In between jobs” and abused by people not looking for work in 20 years with a full functioning body.
A social program like the latter could be given a death clock or sunset clause. Even preventing anyone turning 18 after the legislation, and new citizens from signing up.
Also possible PWD could have a “last generation” preventing anyone in 18 years from signing up.
Also Opening Charities ASAP to not require Government Contracts or Funds to exist. Would potentially help lessen the fiscal pain around this and other programs.

Every time we get a Government “service” or a “tax rebate” or “tax credit” this means more civil servants. That means more paper to be used, more offices with more lights and computers on daily. More energy being sucked like a bible thumper in an alley.
Small Government means less use in resources, how can anyone argue for more and then tell people they care about the environment and reasonable resource management.

The Party has a good few words on it.
However, I am still an individual and lead myself as well. So I should have a few words, and having discussed it a bit with a wonderful young lady today, I am inspired to write up more about it.
Free Speech and Expression are two different things, and I will get to Expression later. Speech are words assembled into views, opinions, reports, jokes. Verbal and written expression. Expression are actions, consenting and not.
I am a Freespeech absolutist. No matter how foul or beloved it may be to me or you, it should be protected. The Government should have your back. It is essential for civilization that people share information, it is essential we relax with the enjoyment of interacting and appreciated sense of humors. It is even essential we hear stuff that is nasty and touches our conscience, reminding us we have one.
Now cheesy dialogue aside, a Penetration shot is not “Free Speech,” it is “Free Expression,” however not all expression is acceptable, I am not absolute on this, and mostly because Marshal McLuhan was made the accepted idiot to state “violence is expression,” and this is used to justify riots. Expression can be done by consenting adults, cool, although certain things could require signups before they view such things. So no kids are flashed. Never got why soft nudity wouldn’t be allowed after 11PM on Networks. Are your kids up? Non-Consenting adults get made to do these things, and violence against all people, their business’, bodes and kids exist as an “expression,” in the accepted McLuhan perspective and that is far from cool.

Investigate development and development investment monopolies.
Try to have crowned landed opened up for homesteading, especially for homeless Indians, given the nature of “crowned land.”
Even consider plots of park land as homestead options.
Open up an investigation, and possibly force an end to Land Use and Management Bylaws in Vancouver, which boosts costs on renovations and developing your own land, boosting potential rents.
Eliminate the Speculation Tax utterly and Empty Home Tax. Useless bureaucracy that didn’t help anything.
End First Time Buyer Welfare.
Property Rights of the Individual must be protected at all cost, and financial hardship from the state mitigated to totally ended as much as possible.

My vote count is only as good as the feet on the ground. I got about 620 votes on Election Night on one bad leg.
Imagine that bad leg x10, x 20 × 50 or more feet on the ground, talking, top rank numbers, being part of a possible
winning team and history makers in this usually solid, mostly uncontested, NDP riding.

Rebates, tax credits it’s right wing code for “hire more civil servants.” You’ll be owing more money than without them when the workers are paid, oh and the paperwork only the richest people can afford. A Flat tax, 10% may be a reasonable change. However I have a different notion, out lined here in Vancouver East Campaign Site. Basically ridding every individual of all taxes on them directly, removing Corporate Income Tax and applying a basic licence royalty fee type structure. A single digit on non-solely owned businesses and franchises of a single digit on each of their sales, service, share, licencing, and franchise fee sales.
Individuals are stolen from no more, and small business man as well as gig workers as well.

Smaller Government is a cleaner Government. Add more civil servants, you add more lights, add more paper, add more computers using more power, removing them reverses this.
I support Due Process.
I support taking our challenges to monopolies like ICBC and even the Cushman Wakefield Development Investment schemes.
BC Comes before Canada. My constituency comes before BC.
The Police Act has to be changed to outlaw Stop and Frisk, in any name or form. No knock warrants. We need someone tougher on police brutality, that’s me. In 1996 I said, “The Only Thing Worse Than A Criminal Is A Cop Who Is A Criminal.”
Deregulate and remove any existing drug laws, while making ODs responsible for their health care.
China should be made responsible for the Fentanyl their pinko country flood Vancouver with.
School Choice, money follows the Student, not the Civil Service.
We need to adapt the Park Act to try and make it safer for the Boat Dwellers who aren’t harming anyone.

I object to it, as a Government property bought with taxpayer’s money and run by state as a result of Trudeau’s idea they are also his inheritance. I understand he intends to have it pointed at his face.
In all seriousness, I also support the notion, of while it is Crown and Federal Land, go ahead and do a protest blockade, it’s your right at a public space. Another method I support, by land in it’s way, I will not support anything less than the province having your back in regards to individual property rights. Refuse the easement, rent it to the pipeline, it’s up to you, if you want to make it the affordable housing Green Protection zone, congratulations for putting your own money where your mouth is.
